Songland season 2 is set to premiere on April 13 at 10 PM EST / 7 PM PST. There’ll be a new episode every Monday night, and while we don’t have the full list of guests, we do know that country music superstars Lady Antebellum will make an appearance in episode one. Read on to find out how you can live stream every episode of Songland season 2, even if you’re abroad (outside of the US).
You should note that we’ll only be recommending official sources. Given how popular this show is, it’s likely that certain shady websites will be offering unlicensed streams. These are usually very low-quality, though, plus they can be taken down at any moment for copyright violation. To get the best experience possible, we recommend using one of the many legitimate options for streaming Songland season 2 online.
Songland is only airing on region-locked streaming services. This means that if you’re outside of the US, you’ll have to connect to a Virtual Private Network (VPN) to watch Songland on your usual streaming services.
How to watch Songland season 2 abroad using a VPN
Don’t worry: VPNs might seem complicated but they’re actually fairly simple to use. Just follow the simple step-by-step guide below.
Here’s how to watch Songland season 2 from anywhere in the world:
- Start by signing up for a suitable VPN. We recommend ExpressVPN although NordVPN and CyberGhost are two high-performance, low-cost alternatives.
- Next, install the VPN app on any device you’d like to stream on. If you want to watch on more than one device, that’s fine; most VPNs allow five or so connections at once.
- Log in to the VPN app and connect to a server in the US. The city you choose doesn’t matter, but generally, the further away your server is, the slower your speeds will be.
- Visit the NBC website and sign in. You should now be able to watch as though you were actually in the US. If you’re still having problems, clear your cookies and try again.
As new episodes of Songland will be broadcast live, it’s important you take a few minutes ahead of time to ensure everything is working properly. This way, you’re far less likely to miss the start of an episode due to technical trouble.
How to live stream Songland season 2 for free on Canadian TV
Songland season 2 will be broadcast at 7 PM EST on CityTV in Canada. This service is completely free-to-use, and there’s no need to create an account before watching anything. Further, if you miss an episode, you’ll be able to stream it on-demand from the following day onward.
There is one catch, though: CityTV is geo-restricted, which means you’ll need a VPN to watch if you’re currently abroad. ExpressVPN includes a 30-day money-back guarantee, allowing you to stream Songland risk-free; if it fails to impress you, just cancel within 30 days to claim a full refund, no questions asked.
Where else can I watch Songland online?
Fans can watch the second season of Songland in the US as well. Here’s how:
USA
NBC is the exclusive Songland broadcaster in the US. If you have an existing cable TV subscription, you can just log in to the website and watch season 2 at no added cost. Here’s the good news: NBC also supports plenty of over-the-top services, making it easy to watch even if you don’t have cable. Better still, the entire first season is available for free, with no login required.
Users can sign in with an AT&T TV Now, fuboTV, Hulu, Sling TV, or YouTube TV subscription. While each of these services offers a free trial, we expect the second season of Songland to run for several months, meaning you’ll have to commit eventually. Of the above options, Sling TV is the least expensive, at $20 USD per month.
NBC is region-locked and only available in the US. However, if you’re traveling abroad, you can access it as normal by connecting to an American VPN server.
Other locations
At the moment, there are no international networks showing Songland outside of North America. That said, Channel 4 is allegedly creating a British version of the show. Details are few and far between, though, with no release date or hosts announced as yet.
How is Songland different from other TV talent shows?
Songland is a different beast from shows like Britains’s Got Talent or The X-Factor. Instead of singing a well-known song for the judges, contestants must perform one that they’ve written themselves. The judges then spend time rearranging, tweaking, and adjusting the song to fit the musical style of that week’s guest performer.
The musical guest will then choose three of the five songwriters, each of whom will create another song. The guest chooses whichever they like best, and will release this as their next single.
Who are the guest artists in the second season of Songland?
As ever, the show’s judges (Ryan Tedder, Ester Dean, and Shane McAnally) will be joined by a rotating cast of well-known musicians. Understandably, they want to keep their biggest stars a secret, but we do know that season 2 of Songland will feature the acts below, among others:
- Florida Georgia Line
- Usher
- Bebe Rexha
- Boyz II Men
- Luis Fonzi
- Martina McBride
