RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars season 5 will premiere on June 5, and there’ll be a new episode every Friday night at 8 PM EST (5 PM PST). ViacomCBS, which owns the show, has admitted that the coronavirus pandemic led to “various scheduling and programming adjustments”, but fans can reasonably expect the series to run for two months or so. Read on to find out how to live stream RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars from abroad (outside of the US).
We strongly recommend watching RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars via official sources. Remember: unauthorized streams tend to have far lower video quality and are at risk of being taken offline at any moment. Besides, with a strong international release schedule and plenty of legitimate ways to watch, there’s nothing to gain by using third-party streams.
RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars will only be shown on region-locked streaming platforms. If you’re currently abroad and looking to watch on your services from back home, you’ll have to use a VPN.
How to watch RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars abroad with a VPN
VPNs might seem a little complicated at first but they’re really quite easy to use. Just follow the steps below to unblock and stream RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars.
Here’s how to watch RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars online from anywhere:
- First off, sign up for a fast and secure VPN service. We recommend ExpressVPN but NordVPN and CyberGhost are both great budget picks.
- Install the VPN software. Usually, you’ll be allowed five or so connections at once, so you might as well install the app on any device you stream on frequently.
- Decide which official source you’d like to access abroad and connect to a server in the appropriate country. You’ll need an American server to watch VH1, for example.
- Visit your chosen streaming service and try playing a video. It should load right away but if not, clear your browser’s cookies and refresh the page.
As this show will be broadcast live, we strongly recommend spending a few minutes before the premiere making sure your VPN works as expected. This approach ensures that you won’t have to miss the start of another fantastic season. If you’re having last-minute problems, you can contact most major providers directly over 24/7 live chat.
Where can I live stream Drag Race All Stars in the US?
Originally, the new season was planned to release on Showtime but after backlash from fans who didn’t want to subscribe to the channel directly, executives decided to keep Drag Race All Stars on VH1.
This means that if you have a cable TV plan with VH1, or a fuboTV or Philo account, you can sign in and stream every new episode live at no extra cost. Don’t have any of these? Philo costs $20 USD per month while fuboTV plans start at $54.99 per month. Both services include a one-week free trial, though.
If you’re not quite caught up, don’t panic: VH1 also has the last few seasons as part of its on-demand library, while WOW Presents Plus ($3.99 per month with a seven-day trial) offers older seasons of Drag Race Untucked.
The above platforms are all region-locked, meaning you’ll need a VPN to use them abroad. ExpressVPN offers a risk-free 30-day money-back guarantee so you can try it out and if it fails to impress, just cancel for a full refund.
Can I watch RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars outside of the US?
It’s actually going to be very simple for RuPaul fans in other countries to watch the new season of All Stars online. Take a look below to find out which networks are showing it where you live:
UK & Ireland
Although we don’t have an exact date just yet, we know that season 5 of Drag Race All Stars will arrive on Netflix sometime in June. In the meantime, subscribers can stream all twelve seasons of Drag Race US and one series of Untucked. Netflix plans start at £8.99 per month, but your first month is free.
Britain actually has its own spinoff already, titled RuPaul’s Drag Race UK. There are nine episodes in total and you can watch them all, free-of-charge, on BBC iPlayer.
BBC iPlayer and Netflix are both geo-restricted. To stream All Stars on them while abroad, you’ll have to connect to a British VPN server.
Canada
Crave is the official RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars broadcaster in Canada. It’ll air new episodes at the same time that they’re shown in the US (8 PM EST every Friday). To sweeten the deal even further, this platform also allows you to watch every episode of the main series, plus the first season of Drag Race UK and Secret Celebrity Drag Race. Crave subscriptions start at $9.99 CAD per month and include a seven-day free trial.
Netflix Canada has an impressive selection of RuPaul content too, though. Currently, its library includes seasons 1–11 of Drag Race, a season of Untucked, and the first series of All Stars. This platform costs $9.99 per month and offers a one-month free trial period.
Crave and Netflix are region-locked, so if you’re outside of Canada, you’ll need a VPN to stream RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars on them.
Australia
Australian RuPaul fans can watch a new episode on Stan every week from June 6. This service costs $10 AUD per month and comes with a 30-day free trial. If you can’t wait a full week between episodes, there’s plenty to keep you occupied since Stan also offers every previous season of Drag Race and Drag Race All Stars.
Stan is only usually accessible in Australia. Despite this, you can unblock and watch abroad using a VPN.

What do we know about season 5 of RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars?
In a bid to keep things fresh, there’s a major rule change this time around. In previous seasons, RuPaul would choose two contestants to go head-to-head in a lip-sync battle, and the winner would get to decide who was sent home that week.
Now, though, RuPaul will only select one person to lip-sync. They’ll then face off against a winner from a prior season, the so-called “assassin”. If the contestant wins, things work as normal, but if the assassin wins, a secret ballot is held to determine which contestant is eliminated, and the cash prize is added to the next week’s pot.
