There’s been some confusion about when Blindspot season 5 will begin. Originally scheduled for a summer release, it was brought forward (and then pushed back again) due to the coronavirus crisis. However, we can confirm that the fifth series will begin at 10 PM EST on May 7. There’ll be 11 episodes in total, and if you keep reading, you’ll find out how to stream them all live online (even if you’re outside the US at the moment).
Blindspot has fans all over the world, which means unauthorized streams are almost inevitable. That said, we recommend you only use official sources. This approach guarantees you the highest-quality stream available and means there’s no chance of it being taken down for copyright violation. With plenty of legitimate ways to watch (some of which are free), there’s really no reason to use shady third-party sources.
The final series of Blindspot will only be shown on geo-restricted services. If you’re traveling abroad and looking to watch on the same platforms you’d use back home, you’ll need a Virtual Private Network (VPN).
How to unblock and watch Blindspot season 5 from abroad
Below, we’ll explain how to live stream Blindspot season 5 from anywhere in the world with a VPN. Don’t worry, it’s much easier than you might expect.
Here’s how to watch Blindspot season 5 online from anywhere:
- Start by signing up for a reputable VPN service. We recommend ExpressVPN but NordVPN and CyberGhost are both excellent low-cost alternatives.
- Download the VPN app, making sure to install it on any device you stream on regularly (most providers allow five or so simultaneous connections but this varies).
- Decide which of the official sources below you’d like to unblock.
- Connect to a VPN server in the appropriate country. You’d need a US server to stream NBC abroad, for instance.
- Log in and start streaming. You should find that your video starts right away but if it doesn’t, you can fix most issues by clearing your cookies, refreshing the page, or trying a different server.
As Blindspot will air live, it’s important you test your VPN well before the premiere. This way, if anything fails to work as expected, you’ll have enough time to get help from your VPN’s customer support team. Most providers offer around-the-clock support over live chat.
How to live stream Blindspot season 5 on US TV
NBC broadcast the first four seasons of Blindspot so it should come as no surprise that it’ll show the fifth as well. Better yet, there’s no need to worry if you miss an episode since they’ll be available on-demand for several months after airing. Already have a cable TV plan that includes NBC? In that case, just enter your provider details into the NBC website and you can start watching immediately.
Luckily, it’s easy to stream NBC online without cable. This service allows you to sign in with your fuboTV, Sling TV, YouTube TV, or Hulu account. While all of these offer a trial period, none is long enough to let you watch the entire fifth season of Blindspot for free. As such, we recommend using Hulu: it’s the cheapest way to watch, at just $5.99 USD per month. Plus, Hulu’s on-demand library carries seasons 1–4, meaning it’s perfect for anyone looking to catch up.
All of the above services are region-locked, which means they can usually only be accessed in the US. However, with a VPN, it’s possible to use them anywhere. ExpressVPN includes a 30-day money-back guarantee which allows you to stream Blindspot risk-free; if you’re not impressed, simply cancel within 30 days to receive a full refund.
Where else can I watch Blindspot online?
Unfortunately, there is no word on when international fans can expect to see season 5 of Blindspot just yet. However, it is possible to watch older seasons in several countries outside the US and below, we’ll explain how:
Canada
It’s actually very easy to watch past seasons of Blindspot in Canada since all four are available on Crave. It seems likely that when season 5 does arrive, it’ll be available here too, but this hasn’t been confirmed as yet.
If you have a Canadian cable TV package that includes Crave, you can just log in and start streaming immediately. Cord-cutters don’t have to worry, though, since it’s also possible to sign up for Crave directly. The base subscription costs $9.99 CAD per month and comes with a 30-day free trial.
Crave is geo-restricted and only available in Canada. If you’re anywhere else in the world, you’ll have to use a VPN to access this platform.
Australia
At the moment, Blindspot fans can stream seasons 3 and 4 for free on 7plus. In fact, you don’t even have to create an account. However, you should note that episodes from season 4 are only available for a few weeks after they’re shown on TV, whereas season 3 won’t leave the service until October.
Unfortunately, if you’re looking to watch the first two seasons, you’ll have to pay: these are available for $34.99 AUD each on Amazon Prime Video or as part of a three-season bundle ($79.99) on iTunes.
7plus, Amazon Prime Video, and iTunes are all region-locked. To stream Blindspot on any of these services, you’ll have to connect to one of your VPN’s Australian servers.
UK
Blindspot has traditionally aired on Sky Witness in the UK. If the fifth series does too, existing Sky TV customers will be able to log in to the Sky Go app and watch online at no added cost. If you don’t have cable TV or are with a different provider, you can sign up for Now TV instead.
The Entertainment pass lets you stream Sky Witness live and costs £8.99 per month following a seven-day trial. Now TV’s on-demand library currently includes the second and third seasons, so its likely episodes from season 5 will be made available on-demand too. Frustratingly, to watch every previous episode, you’ll have to purchase the first and fourth seasons on Amazon Prime Video for £17.99 each.
All of the services above are geo-restricted. To use them from outside the UK, you’ll need a VPN.
What can fans expect from Blindspot season 5?
The show’s creator, Martin Gero, has kept details of the season 5 plot tightly under wraps. That said, he has revealed that this is the final series, and that fans can expect all of their favorite characters to make a return. He also mentioned that the premiere will have several major plot twists, and that the main cast will spend much of the last series “on the run and trying to clear their names.”
