Succession season 4 online

The fourth season of Succession is set to premiere on March 26 at 21:00 ET/PT. There’ll be 10 episodes in total, with one airing every Sunday night until the show finishes for good at the end of May. Luckily for cord-cutters, it’s actually quite easy to stream Succession online. We’ll let you know how to watch new episodes live, as well as how to view older episodes just in case you’re not quite caught up yet.

Although unofficial streams will likely be available, we recommend sticking to properly-licensed broadcasters. These offer the best-possible viewing experience and, unlike videos hosted on piracy sites, they can’t be taken down for copyright violation. Besides, with well-known broadcast partners in multiple countries (some of which include a free trial), it’s arguably quicker and easier to watch legitimately.

Succession season four will only be available on geo-blocked streaming services. If you’re traveling abroad, you may need a Virtual Private Network (VPN) to watch on your usual channels.

How to stream Succession online from abroad

VPNs enhance your online privacy by hiding your real IP address and encrypting your internet traffic so that it can’t be read by snoopers. They’re also helpful for regaining access to your usual streaming services while traveling; just follow these steps to watch Succession anywhere:

  1. First, you’ll have to decide on a VPN provider. We recommend NordVPN although Surfshark and ExpressVPN are fantastic options as well
  2. Download the VPN app and log in
  3. Choose a server in your home country. Once you connect, your IP address will change, making it seem like you never left and letting you use region-exclusive services again
  4. Visit your country’s Succession broadcaster (see below). Videos should play without any issues but if you’re having trouble, try clearing your cookies and reloading the page. Alternatively, you could ask customer support if there’s a specific server you should use

If you’re planning on live streaming Succession, we strongly advise testing your VPN ahead of time. This only takes a few minutes but greatly lowers the chance of you missing out due to unexpected technical trouble. All of the VPNs mentioned above offer free, around the clock support over live chat, so getting help is as easy as possible.

Succession has always been an HBO exclusive, and that’s not changing. Fans can stream new episodes live on HBO, but this is pretty expensive given that the only services offering this channel (YouTube TV and Hulu with Live TV) each cost around $70 USD per month, plus another $15 for the HBO Max addon.

For most people, the best option will be to wait until the day after broadcast. That’s when episodes will be added to HBO Max for on-demand viewing. This costs $15.99 per month and unfortunately, there’s no free trial. On the plus side, every prior season of Succession is available, so getting up-to-date is simple.

The streaming services above are all region-locked. In other words, you’ll likely need a VPN to access them from outside of the US. NordVPN offers a 30-day money-back guarantee, meaning you can try it completely risk-free. If you’re not impressed, simply tell customer support this within 30 days to receive a full refund.

Where else can I watch Succession online?

Outside of the US? No problem: Succession season four will see a near-simultaneous release across multiple English-speaking countries. Take a look below to find out which network is airing it where you are:

Canada

Succession has always been on Crave, and things are no different this time around. You can either sign in with your cable provider details or subscribe directly for $19.99 CAD per month. There is a seven-day free trial for new customers, meaning if you’re patient, you’ll be able to stream the fourth season without paying (be sure to cancel before the trial ends, though).

New episodes will begin airing at 21:00 ET from March 26 – day and date with the US release. As you might expect, all three older seasons are available on demand as well. Crave is only available in Canada, so if you’re away from home, you’ll need a VPN to continue watching.

UK

No surprises here: Succession season four, like most of HBO’s content, will air live on Sky Atlantic. However, due to the time difference, they’ll be on at 02:00 GMT. Don’t worry, though: these will become available for on-demand streaming shortly after.

There are two ways to watch this channel online. If you’re already a Sky TV customer, you can just log into the Sky website or Sky Go app and live stream your usual channels at no added cost. Alternatively, you can sign up for NOW’s Entertainment Pass. This costs £9.99 per month and lets you watch a handful of channels, including Sky Atlantic. You should note that there’s no free trial anymore.

If you still haven’t seen the latest season, we’d suggest using NOW. At the time of writing, this carries every older episode, whereas you’d have to buy these from the Sky Store for about £23.99 each. Both services are regionally-restricted but you can access them as normal while traveling by connecting to one of your VPN’s British servers.

Australia

The new season of Succession will air every Monday (starting March 27) at 20:30 AET on Fox Showcase. If this channel is included in your cable plan, you can log into Foxtel Go and watch online for free. Otherwise, you’ll need a Binge account. Prices start at $10 AUD per month, and there’s also a two-week free trial. In other words, you should be able to stream season four without paying if you sign up after May 8.

Binge and Foxtel won’t work outside of Australia, unless you’re connected to an Australian VPN server.

What can we expect from season four of Succession?

Season 4 of Succession will continue the maneuvering and scheming that the series has become known for, only this time, the stakes are much higher. Waystar Royco has never been closer to a sale, and the family is split on whether this is a good thing. We’ll see players emerge, leave, and switch sides, all with the ultimate goal of maintaining their power at any cost. In short, this promises to be a season fans won’t soon forget.

Is this the last season of Succession?

Unfortunately, yes. In February, the show’s creator, Jesse Armstrong confirmed that this will be the final season of Succession. In an interview with the New Yorker, he mentioned wanting to go out strong rather than dragging the show on for a long time until it no longer resembled what it was initially. That said, he does seem reluctant to completely walk away, noting “I’ll probably be calling [the interviewer] up in about six months asking if people are ready for a reboot”.

Who stars in Succession?

Succession arguably wouldn’t have been half the show it was without its larger than life cast. Thankfully, all of the main actors are returning for the final season, and there’ll even be some special guests! Here’s a quick rundown of who’ll be appearing:

  • Brian Cox (Zodiac) as Logan
  • Sarah Snook (Steve Jobs) as Shiv
  • Kieran Culkin (Fargo) as Roman
  • Jeremy Strong (The Trial of the Chicago 7) as Kendall
  • Matthew Macfayden (Pride & Prejudice) as Tom
