How to get iCarly on Netflix (with a VPN)

Netflix has a constantly growing selection of kids’ shows, but due to international broadcast agreements, titles usually aren’t available worldwide. Take iCarly for example it’s only included in six regional libraries, and none of these let you watch the series from start to finish. How to watch iCarly on Netflix

The good news is that it is still possible to watch iCarly on Netflix. The bad news is that this show is only available in the US, the UK, Mexico, Brazil, Colombia, and Argentina. Additionally, most of these libraries only include a couple of seasons at best.

At the time of this writing, the US Netflix library only offers seasons three, four, and five, for a total of 34 episodes. Meanwhile Netflix UK, Mexico, Brazil, Colombia, and Argentina all offer only what they call “Season 2,” even though there are 39 episodes listed, which is a lot of episodes for a single season, so it likely includes at least one other season.

Where else can I stream iCarly online for free?

If you’re looking to watch the later seasons of iCarly, you’re in luck: these are available in several countries, just not on Netflix. Better still, in many places, it’s possible to watch most of the show (barring the sixth season) free of charge.

UK

Things are nice and simple in the UK: seasons one to five are included with Amazon Prime Video. This costs £7.99 ($10.64) per month, but there’s a 30-day free trial that should be enough to tide you over until you return home. The sixth season is also available, but you’ll have to pay extra for this; it’s £19.99 ($26.63) for the entire season (13 episodes) or £2.49 ($3.31) per episode.

Like Netflix, Amazon Prime Video changes its content based on your location. As such, you’ll need a VPN to stream iCarly on Prime Video outside of the UK.

US & Canada

Until recently, the main place to watch iCarly was on NickHits. However, this channel recently shut down and most of its content (including the first five seasons of iCarly) has moved over to Paramount+. The service also offers the three seasons of the 2021 revival of the series. Prices begin at $7.99 (or CAD$6.99), with a seven-day free trial.

Currently, the only way to watch iCarly season six online is to purchase it on platforms like the Google Play Store, Microsoft Store, or Apple TV. The lowest price we managed to find for the whole season was $9.99 USD on Apple TV.

All of the services mentioned above are geo-blocked, so you’ll need a VPN to access your home country’s libraries while traveling abroad.

Australia

Australian fans can watch the first five seasons of iCarly on Binge and Foxtel Now. Of these, Binge is the cheaper option at AUD$10 per month (versus $25 per month on Foxtel). This service also includes a two-week trial, so you can watch for free as long as you remember to cancel within 14 days.

Unfortunately, season six isn’t included here either. At the moment, it’s selling for AUD$29.99 on Google Play and similar video-on-demand services.

Binge and Foxtel Now are only available in Australia. Despite this, you can use them during a trip abroad by connecting to an Australian VPN server.

How to watch the iCarly Reboot (2021)

In June 2021, the reboot of iCarly premiered on Paramount+. The new series was a revival of the original show, set eight and a half years after the original series finale, and featured the continuing adventures of the now-grown Carly Shay and her friends and family. 

The reboot series ran for three seasons, with new episodes being released from 2021 to 2023. While the series received high ratings on sites like Rotten Tomatoes, a Paramount+ spokesperson said the network felt the revival had run its course, and it didn’t continue to a fourth season despite leaving fans with a major cliffhanger involving Carly and Spencer’s mother.

All three seasons are available on Paramount+, in the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, and several countries in Latin America and Europe. Visit the Paramount+ website to determine if the streaming service – and iCarly – are available in your particular country.
