After a rollercoaster season, The Red Dragons are returning to the spotlight for the third season of Welcome to Wrexham. The premiere will air live on May 2 at 10 PM ET (7 PM PT), with subsequent episodes arriving every week at the same time. Sound good? Below, we’ll let you know how to live stream Welcome to Wrexham season 3 online from anywhere.
This post will only discuss official sources. Although the show may be available on shady streaming sites, we don’t recommend using these. Aside from the ethical issues, their video quality is often far lower and you can’t count on streams remaining online for any length of time. On the plus side, there are lots of legitimate ways to watch Welcome to Wrexham, and we’ll cover all of these shortly.
Welcome to Wrexham is only available on geo-restricted streaming services. If you’re traveling abroad, you might need a Virtual Private Network (VPN) to continue watching.Â
How to stream Welcome to Wrexham online from anywhere
VPNs are privacy tools that keep your data safe from prying eyes. They’re also great at helping you regain access to your usual streaming services when you travel. Here’s how to continue watching Welcome to Wrexham during a trip abroad:
- First, you’ll have to sign up for a reputable VPN service. We recommend NordVPN but Surfshark and ExpressVPN are two fantastic alternatives
- Install the VPN app on any device you use for streaming
- Log in and connect to the VPN. If you just want extra securely, any server will work, but to use region-locked platforms, you’ll have to select one in the appropriate country
- Visit your country’s Welcome to Wrexham broadcaster (see below) and try playing a video. It should begin right away but in our experience, clearing your cookies and refreshing the page often fixes the most common playback issues
If you’re interested in watching this show live, we strongly suggest taking a few minutes to make sure your VPN works as expected ahead of time. All of the providers above offer free 24/7 support over live chat, making it as easy as possible to get help.

How to stream Welcome to Wrexham online on US TV
Wrexham A.F.C. may be a British team but thanks to its high-profile owners, the formerly unknown squad has a ton of American fans too. The new season will air live on FX, and you can sign into the website or FX Now app using your cable provider details.
Looking to stream Welcome to Wrexham without cable? No problem! You’ll also be able to login using a Sling TV, YouTube TV, Hulu, or fuboTV account. Some of these services offer a free trial, but none that’s long enough to watch the whole third season. With that in mind, we recommend Hulu. Episodes will be added to the on-demand library the same day that they air live, and its ad-supported plan costs just $7.99 USD per month, so it’s a much cheaper option.
These services are all geo-restricted and won’t work outside of the US. If you’re out of the country, you can keep watching using an American VPN server. NordVPN comes with a 30-day money-back guarantee, meaning you can try it risk-free and claim a full refund if you’re unsatisfied.

- Australia: $13.99 AUD
- Mexico: $179 MXN

What can we expect from Welcome to Wrexham season 3?
There’s certainly plenty of excitement to come in season 3 of Welcome to Wrexham. With the team having been promoted from the National League as champions in the 2022-23 season (season 2), they’ve since had a successful campaign in League Two.
The third season will follow the 2023-24 season as Wrexham compete in the EFL for the first time in over 15 years. It will also follow Wrexham’s AFC Women’s Team who are competing in the Welsh Adran Premier League for the first time.
We don’t have a season 3 trailer just yet (there are still a few fixtures in the 2023-24 season remaining) but we’ll no doubt see plenty of co-owners Rob McElhenney and Ryan Reynolds as well as manager Phil Parkinson and his squad of players.
Is this the final season of Welcome to Wrexham?
So far, there’s no word on whether Welcome to Wrexham will be renewed for a fourth season. That said, another season is almost certain. For starters, the club gained more than 200,000 new followers on social media when it was announced that Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney were purchasing it. Large sponsors have been piling in too, from TikTok to Expedia, and allegedly, the show is making around £430,000 ($542,000) per episode.
There’s one more thing fans can count on. In a tongue-in-cheek reference to his leading role in It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia, McElhenney joked that his contract forbids him from doing less than 16 seasons of any show. If Wrexham FC’s fortunes keep going the way they have been, we’re sure that plenty of Welsh football fans would be glad to hear it.
