To watch this match for free you’ll need a VPN unless you’re in Australia, the UK, or the US.

How to watch Halep vs Svitolina live for free on Australian TV
Wimbledon is a hugely popular tennis tournament and many broadcasters across the globe have rights to air matches. Many of these are public broadcasters whose content is accessible for free. Plus, games are aired with commentary in multiple languages, depending on where the stream originates. To watch the match for free with English commentary, one of your best options is the Australian TV network, 7plus
Anyone can enjoy live, free Wimbledon action on 7plus, which is SEVEN Network’s online streaming platform. You don’t even need to set up an account to watch live content. If you’re already in Australia, you can simply go to the 7plus site and start viewing. However, 7plus content is geo-restricted, so if you don’t have an Australian IP address, you’ll be blocked from watching. A VPN can help out here by spoofing your location.
If you’re abroad, you can connect to an Australian VPN server first to make it appear as though you’re located within the country. If you don’t have a VPN yet, we recommend ExpressVPN. It’s fast and reliable and excellent for unblocking streaming services, including 7plus. The best part is it comes with a risk-free 30-day money-back guarantee so you can use it to watch this and other Wimbledon matches and then cancel and get your money back.
How to watch Halep vs Svitolina live for free on UK TV
In the UK, all Wimbledon matches are broadcast by the BBC and available online via BBC iPlayer. Accessing BBC iPlayer is relatively simple no matter where you are in the world. Just sign up for a free account using a British postal code — any UK postal code will be accepted and your location isn’t verified.
British law requires BBC iPlayer users to have a TV License in order to view its content online, although no strict verification system currently exists.
BBC iPlayer streams can also be accessed through TVPlayer. Both services are geo-restricted so you’ll need to connect to a UK VPN server if you’re located outside the UK.
Where can I watch Svitolina vs Halep live online?
There are broadcasters all over the world showing this and other Wimbledon matches. Here are a few of them:
US
The official US Wimbledon broadcaster is ESPN. If this channel is included in your current cable package, you can simply sign in online and watch as normal. You can also get some ESPN content on ESPN+ which is a standalone service costing $4.99 per month, which isn’t bad.
However, there is another option for US residents. ESPN content can be streamed through multiple over-the-top services such as Sling TV, YouTube TV, Hulu with Live TV, DirecTV Now, and PlayStation Vue. While these can be pricey, they all come with free trials. This means you could watch Svitolina vs Halep (and the remainder of the Wimbledon tournament), then cancel before payments kick in.
All of these services are geo-restricted so you’ll need a VPN to access them from abroad. They also require a US payment method so will be difficult to access if you don’t usually live in the country.
Canada
In Canada, the official Wimbledon broadcasters are TSN (English-language commentary) and partner RDS (French-language commentary). If these channels are part of your Canadian cable package, you can log in to watch Svitolina vs Halep live online or via the respective mobile apps, TSN Go or RDS Go. Otherwise, you can purchase an online-only pass which costs CAD $4.99 per day or CAD $19.99 per month.
These services are geo-restricted, so if you want to access them while traveling outside Canada, you’ll need to connect to a Canadian VPN server first.
Romania and Ukraine
No doubt, plenty of fans from these tennis players’ home countries will be eager to tune in and root them on. Eurosport is the official Wimbledon broadcaster for many European countries, including Romania, Ukraine, Belgium, Norway, and lots more.
If Eurosport is included in your current TV package, you should be able to log in to Eurosport Player and watch the match live without having to pay an additional fee. Eurosport Player is also available as a standalone service, the price of which varies depending on which country you’re in.
If you try to watch Eurosport Player while outside of a European country, you’ll see an error message: “Sorry, Eurosport Player is not available in this country.” This can be bypassed by connecting to a VPN server within Europe. Note that you will need a European payment method to sign up, so it’s difficult to do so unless you usually live in Europe.
Other locations
If we haven’t covered your location, don’t worry, there are dozens of other broadcasters across the globe airing the Svitolina vs Halep match, including beIN Sports and Fox Asia. You can see the official Wimbledon website for more details.
Don’t forget, you can always access the free live streams from 7plus or BBC iPlayer no matter where you are. You just need to connect to a VPN first if you’re outside of the source region.
Who will win the Svitolina vs Halep match?
The Wimbledon women’s singles tournament has been an exciting one so far. We’ve seen 15-year-old Cori Gauff advance way further in the tournament than expected. And there have been some shock departures, including top-ranked Barty making an exit in the fourth round and number-two seed Osaka not even making it past the first.
Ranked seventh in the world, Halep, who is from Romania, is the highest-seeded player left in the women’s singles, and technically the favorite to win the tournament. That being said, Ukrainian Svitolina is ranked eighth, making this an extremely close match-up.
The winner of this match will either face 54th-ranked Barbora Strycova or 11th-ranked Serena Williams in the final. Although both Halep and Svitolina will no doubt be hoping for Serena to lose her semi-final game, it seems unlikely given the ranking odds are by far in her favor.
