The 2022 PGA Championship is right around the corner! From May 19 to May 22 some of the best golf pros in the world will descend on Southern Hills in Tulsa, Oklaa in an attempt to dethrone defending champion Jon Rahm. If you’re traveling or living abroad in the UK, Canada, or anywhere else, you can live stream the event through Kodi but you will need the help of a VPN to access your usual home services.
Live streaming access is available worldwide through a select number of sources, most of which require an account or subscription of some kind.
Important note: Our guide only mentions official sources for the PGA Championship.
This 4-day event will feature some of the world’s most popular golfers. Golf fans from around the world may be tuning in, and some websites may be offering illegitimate streaming options to glean some of the traffic. Unofficial streaming sites come with notable risks, including malware, adware, and phishing attempts. The PGA Championship will be readily available from official channels and Kodi addons, although ISP stream throttling will be a concern regardless of which source you use.
BEST VPN FOR KODI:IPVanish is our top choice. The service has a large network of fast, uncongested servers. IPVanish offers strong security, privacy, and anonymity features that make it bypass ISP speed throttling and snooping on any device, including the Amazon Fire TV Stick. Try it risk-free with the 7-day money-back guarantee.
Warning: Kodi should only be used for content to which you have the legal right to access. Neither the Kodi Foundation nor Comparitech advocates the use of Kodi for piracy.
How to watch the PGA Championship on Kodi with a VPN
You’ll only be able to watch the 2022 PGA Championship live with a valid US IP address. Regardless of where you live, a VPN can help you watch most or all of the events. To get started with a VPN, follow the steps below.
Here’s how to live stream the Golf PGA Championship on Kodi:
- First, sign up to a trustworthy VPN provider. We recommend IPVanish for Kodi users, but you may also want to consider ExpressVPN, NordVPN, or Surfshark as well.
- Now, download the VPN app onto your preferred streaming device (if available). If no app is available for that VPN, consider another VPN option, or choose a different device
- Next, connect to a VPN server in the country where the PGA Championship streams are available. In this case, you’ll need to connect to a US VPN server.
- Open the Kodi add-on you want to use, find the streaming channel, and play!
You’ll want to make sure you test out your streaming options before the May 19 event starts. That way, you’ll ensure you have complete access and that you’ll have time to switch to a different VPN or Kodi addon, if necessary.
In the US, the 2022 PGA Championship broadcast rights are shared between ESPN and CBS. Some events will be available only on ESPN+, some on ESPN, and some on CBS Sports. There is currently no Kodi addon for ESPN+ or CBS Sports. However, you can access every event available through ESPN by using the Sling TV Kodi addon.Â
