Methodology: Finding the best VPNs for an Indonesian IP address

The good news is that it’s a buyer’s market right now; consumers have never had more options when it comes to digital security. Unfortunately, there are a ton of providers that don’t have servers in Indonesia and plenty more that are too slow for regular use, regardless. Our experts have done the hard part for you, hunting high and low for the best, most secure, most reliable VPNs for the job. Our testing is split into five areas, and we’ll cover all of these below:

Indonesian speeds

It’s surprisingly tricky to get test results that accurately reflect the speeds you can expect. This is because two tests run back to back can have completely different results. Not only that, but a VPN’s speeds can fluctuate based on how many people are using that server, what time of day it is, what connection protocol you’re using, and how far away you are. Someone in Thailand will likely have better performance on an Indonesian server than someone in the US, for instance.

We created a testing process with the express intention of minimizing these variables. We began by limiting our connection to 246 Mbps (roughly the US home broadband average).
